Conforma Clad provides complete wear solutions for the severe abrasive and corrosive wear of plastic extruder barrels, liners and dies. Our infiltration brazed tungsten carbide cladding extends extruder component life .5 - 3 times longer than extruders protected with other wear-protective materials.

 

Conforma Clad provides wear solutions for conveyance systems, protecting your pipes, elbows, valves and chutes from abrasion, erosion and corrosion. We can extend your conveyance equipment life in excess of 10 - 15 times longer than unprotected components.

Conforma Clad has engineered the only Tri-Metallic severe wear solution for twin-screw, co-rotating extrusion barrels. We clad the bores of steel extruder barrels with WC 200, creating a hard, abrasion-resistant barrier, and apply WC 219 to the apex, making it extremely ductile and chip-resistant.

Are you already using Conforma Clad technology?

Chances are you already use Conforma Clad technology. Over sixteen years ago, Conforma Clad and Krupp Werner & Pleiderer (now Coperion), co-developed a severe wear solution for extruder barrels. Before 2002, this solution was only available from Coperion as WPR-29. Now, this well-known protection is available to end-users directly from Conforma Clad and many OEMs.
